How to race and where we race:
SMA hosts its race meetings at the Jets Sports Club, Holbeach Ave, Tempe, NSW.
• Permanent, multi layout race track
• 240v mains power provided
• Lights for night racing on Tuesday evenings
• Access to the Jets Sports Club bistro, bar & amenities
• Large pit area (BYO pit tables, power cords)
• AMBrc Timing system, AMB personal transponders supported
• RC Scoring Pro timing software
When we race:
Tuesday Night Racing:
• 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month (or as per the calendar)
• Track opens 6.00pm, racing starts at 7.00pm
• Classes:
• Novice
• Mini
• 540
• Stock
• Superstock
Note: nitro does not run on Tuesdays
Sunday Racing:
• 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month (or as per th calendar)
• Track opens 9.15am, racing starts at 10.30am
• Classes:
• Novice
• Mini
• 540
• Stock
• Superstock
• Nitro
• 12th Scale
What we race:
Novice:
• Bring what you’ve got! Generally 1/10th scale touring cars and Tamiya minis
• 540 silver can motors
• The novice races on a simplified layout to help beginners get the hang of circuit racing
540:
• 1/10th Electric touring cars (190mm)
• 540 silver can motors
Stock:
• 1/10th Electric touring cars (190mm)
• 27T brushed motors or 17.5 / 21.5 brushless systems
Superstock:
• 1/10th Electric touring cars (190mm)
• 19t brushed motors or 10.5/13.5 brushless systems
Nitro:
• 1/10th Nitro powered (glow engine) touring cars (200mm)
• Sedan bodies
Mini:
• 1/10th Tamiya Mini's
• Challenge Cup Rules
12th Scale
• 1/12th 2wd pan cars
• Open motors
Other classes (Modified, F1, 2wd/GT10, 3300kv mini) can be accommodated if time and numbers permit. Email the club if you have any questions
